Accessibility Statement
Last updated June 2026
SSICEVS is committed to making this website usable for as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. Accessibility is part of how I design, not an afterthought.
Conformance target
I aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, motor, auditory, and cognitive needs.
Measures I take
- Semantic HTML and a logical heading structure for screen-reader navigation.
- Sufficient colour contrast for text and meaningful UI against my dark theme.
- Keyboard-operable navigation with visible focus indicators.
- Descriptive alternative text for meaningful imagery.
- Respect for the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting — animations and parallax are reduced or disabled when you request it. - Responsive layouts that reflow cleanly down to small screens and high zoom levels.
Known limitations
Some background visuals (video and animated canvas effects) are decorative and may be motion-heavy. They are never the only way to access information, can be paused, and are suppressed under reduced-motion settings. If you encounter anything that gets in your way, please let me know.
Feedback
I welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this site. If you run into a barrier, or need information in a different format, email design@ssicevs.com and I’ll do my best to respond promptly and put things right.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is an ongoing process. I review the site periodically, test with keyboard and screen readers, and fix issues as they’re found. This statement will be updated as improvements are made.
